Chinese New Year of the TIGER 2010
with a festive dinner
Venue: Regal Restaurant, 7 Courtenay Place, Wellington (upstairs from the Lotto/NZPost shop)
Date: Saturday 27 February, 2010
Time: 6.30pm
Ticket Price: $39 per adult or $390 per table of 10 (tentative price only)
Kids 12 yrs old and below - ticket price $20 per child
Tables with children may need to seat 12 per table (to help us recover costs).
Tickets can be purchased from your NZMS committee member from this week until Sunday 7 February 2010. Do purchase your tickets early as these dinners are always popular and tickets sell out fast!
Please advise your NZMS contact your name and the number of people attending (number of adults and number of kids below 12 yrs old). This is to assist us in seating families and groups together at the same table.

- Yee Sang (Raw Fish dish)
- Roast Pork (or Crispy Squid for Pork-free tables)
- Roast Duck
- Crispy Chicken
- Steamed Whole Blue Cod
- Baked Mussels
- Crispy potato basket with diced veggies and seafood
- Chinese Mushrooms and Straw Mushrooms Duo (with Fatt Choy)
- Stir Fry Seasonal Vegetables
- Panfried Nien Gou (CNY Glutinous Rice Cakes)
- Fresh Fruits
- White Rice
Drinks – Chinese Tea provided for each table.
BYO soft drinks and wine allowed (within reason). No extra corkage charge - all inclusive in ticket price.
1-2 Pork-free tables can be arranged for muslims who wish to attend. Please indicate to the NZMS person you buy the tickets from that you wish to be seated at a Pork-free table.
We will have our very own NZMS Lion Dance performance before the dinner to entertain and usher in the New Year.
NOTE: Table seating will be allocated on an unbiased basis. Everyone must sit at the table they are allocated to by NZMS organisers. There will be NO swapping or choosing of tables on the day!!!
