New Zealand Malaysian Society (NZMS)
What is NZMS?
- The NZMS is a non-governmental and non-profit organisation, set-up by Malaysians, who have migrated to New Zealand (NZ).
- NZMS provides information and leads for new immigrants and visitors from Malaysia.
- The NZMS organises events and functions that focus on social interactions among Malaysians settled in NZ.
Who can be NZMS members?
- Any one above 18 years old, including their spouses and family members and have originated from Malaysia or who have Malaysian heritage. Those below 18 years of age are welcomed to be junior members of NZMS.
- Membership can be applied on-line. Please go to the tab membership form. The membership fees are listed in the form. The fees are used to cover expenses incurred in holding events organised by the Society.
What are the benefits of being a member of the NZMS?
Provide opportunities to:
- Socialise, build friendship, and support network with fellow Malaysians.
- Participate in various events organised by NZMA for you and your family to enjoy and catch-up with fellow Malaysians at one place.
- Become involved in the management of the Society, thus upskilling oneself in running a voluntary organisation. Your voluntary experience will count in your job applications for jobs in New Zealand
- Channel your suggestions and views on improving the role of the Society to better meets the needs of the members.
